180x110x205cm | Steel, wood board, cotton thread, inkjet transparency film
This sculpture takes inspiration from the form of a wind chime, originally used for divination and predicting wind direction. It features 37 metal tubes, each cut to a specific length according to the pentatonic scale, suspended from a wooden board. The tubes are adorned with clear film prints featuring dates, gold prices, and reversed images from the news. The center piece of the sculpture is a welded steel piece based on the chart of gold prices from the last three years. When the wind blows, the tubes and the gold price chart piece sway, producing an ever-changing, chance-based musical composition.
